Czech Republic vs England Live Stream - Euro 2020

Euro 2020 fixture, Czech Republic vs. England is scheduled for kick-off at 20:00 (GMT+1) on Tuesday, the 22nd of June at Wembley Stadium.

Czech Republic picked up a point after the 1-1 draw against Croatia on Match Day 2 when both countries met at Hampden Park. A goal from Bayer Leverkusen’s Patrik Schick (37’ Pen.), - from the penalty spot after a foul by Lovren saw them pick up the lead with minutes left in the first half. However, Croatia equalized minutes after the interval through Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic (47’). A curling right footed shot aimed at goal saw the Blazers level the score-line.

After that goal, both sides made attempts in picking up the lead but the score-line remained the same until the full whistle was blown. Czech Republic’s form ahead of the final day of the group stage reads: DLLWWD. They sit at the top of Group A after picking up four points in a win and a draw: 1W, 1D & 0L. Coach, Jaroslav Šilhavý will have Patrik Schick who has 3 goals so far in this tournament available once again on Tuesday. A 4—2—3—1 formation with Schick in the lead attack is expected.

England were unable to find the back of the net against Scotland on Match Day 2 and had to settle for a goalless draw. They failed to find the required quality at the final third and only came close on one or two occasions – with Hary Kane branded as the worst player on the field after the game. The Spurs man looked disinterested and failed to put up the Premier League form which saw him bag a haul of goals in the just concluded season.

The draw leaves England with four points and a goal difference of +1 after 1W, 1D & 0L. The popular 4—2—3—1 formation from Gareth Southgate is expected once again on Tuesday when Engand returns on Match Day 3. Jack Grealish might find his way into the starting line-up on Tuesday while the disappointing captain, Harry Kane might see himself dropped to the bench for this fixture.

In October, 2019, Czech Republic defeated England 2-1. Before that fixture, the Three Lions were the ones who came out with an emphatic 5-0 victory over Czech Republic. In August, 2008 both countries played a 2-2 draw.

A 2-1 win for England is predicted at the end of this Group D fixture.
