Denmark vs Finland Live Stream - Euro 2020

Euro 2020 Finals encounter, with Denmark hosting Finland on Saturday the 12th of June, 2021, at Parken, in Copenhagen.

Denmark faced Germany and Bosnia and Herzegovina in friendly games earlier this month, leaving good impressions. They drew 1-1 in Germany, going 1-0 down early in the second half and equalizing in the 71st minute, while they beat BiH 2-0 scoring once in each half. Poulsen, Braithwaite and Cornelius scored their three goals in those two matches. Their current form reads; WDWWW.

Coach Kasper Hjulmand played a 4-3-3 formation against BiH in their most recent friendly, with Dolberg up front and Braithwaite with Skov on the wings. Hjulmand has been in charge since last August. Under him, the team has been doing very well, losing just twice in 13 matches, both to very strong Belgium, both in the Nations League. Be reminded,

they beat England 0-1 as guests in the same competition, while back in March, in their first three games in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, they gathered nine points, could not have done any better, scoring a total of 14 goals past Israel (0-2), Moldova (8-0) and Austria (0-4).

Unlike Denmark, Finland rather disappointed in their two recent friendly games; losing 2-0 to Sweden was not… 100% unexpected, but that 0-1 to Estonia was a bit of a shock. Their current form reads; LLLDD. Coach Markku Kanerva played a 3-5-2 formation against Estonia in their most recent friendly, with Pohjanpalo and Forss up front. Kanerva has been in charge since December 2016. He had worked before as Finland’s national coach, but only for three and four and half months. Third time’s the charm, apparently, as now he has stayed in charge for more than four and a half years.

Denmark and Finland have faced each other a whooping 57 times in the past, with the Danes having a far better record of 38W, 9D and 10L. Goals, 150-58. Interestingly, only two of those 57 matches were not friendlies, the two sides met in the Euro 1988 qualifiers, when Denmark won twice, 1-0 at home and 0-1 as guests. On home soil, the Danes have an even more impressive record, 24W, 4D and just 2L (goals, 93-25).

A 2-0 victory for Denmark is predicted at full-time.
Date: Saturday, 12th of June, 2021.
Venue: Parken
Kick-off time: 18:00 (GMT+2).
