Netherlands vs Ukraine Live Stream - Euro 2020

Euro 2020 Finals encounter, with Netherlands hosting Ukraine on Sunday the 13th of June, 2021, at Johan Cruijff Arena, in Amsterdam.

The Dutch faced Scotland and Georgia in friendly games earlier this month, they got rather surprised by the Scots (2-2), while things proved much simpler against the Georgians. Actually, in the first game, they found themselves down twice, 0-1 and 1-2, avoiding defeat thanks to an 89th-minute goal. Depay scored both goals against Scotland and was also the one who opened the scoring against Georgia (from the penalty spot). Weghorst and Gravenberch added the other two goals.

Their current form reads; WDWWL. That “L” was a 4-2 defeat in Turkey, back in March, on their debut in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. They bounced back, beating Latvia and Gibraltar the next few days. Coach Frank de Boer played a 5-3-2 formation against Georgia in their most recent friendly game, with Depay and Weghorst up front. De Boer has been in charge since September last year, he took over soon after Ronald Koeman’s departure.

Ukraine are one of the very few teams that played three instead of two friendly games the last couple of weeks; first, they drew 1-1 with Bahrain (they equalized in added time), which was their fourth consecutive 1-1 draw(!). Next came a 1-0 win over Northern Ireland. Last but not least,

just under a week ago, they took perfect advantage of the fact that Cyprus were left with 10 men in the 36th minute to beat them 4-0, scoring twice from the penalty spot in the first half and adding two more goals after the interval. Their current form reads; WWDDD.

Coach Andriy Shevchenko played a 4-1-4-1 formation against Cyprus in their most recent friendly match, with Yaremchuk up front. He scored, so did Zinchenko (from the penalty spot), while the other two goals had Yarmolenko’s name on them (one of those from the penalty spot).

The Dutch and the Ukrainians have met just twice before, both in friendly matches, more than a decade ago; in May 2008, the Netherlands won 3-0 at home and two years later they drew 1-1 on Ukrainian soil.

A 2-0 victory for the hosts is predicted at full-time.
Date: Sunday, 13th of June, 2021.
