Spain vs Sweden Live Streaming - Euro 2020

Group E fixture, Spain vs. Sweden will kick off at the upcoming UEFA Euro 2020 on Monday, the 14th of June at the Estadio de La Cartuja. Time: 20:00 (GMT+1).

La Roja will make their first appearance at the tournament without a defeat in the last six games across all appearances: WDWWDW. However, their preparation for Euro 2020 was thrown into chaos after Spain’s new captain, Sergio Busquets tested positive for Covid-19.

The news caused panic in the camp as it sent many of the players who had been in direct contact with the Barcelona midfielder into forced isolation. Spain had to play their last match – an international friendly against Lithuania with 11 players from the U21 squad joining the senior team. However, they picked up an impressive 4-0 win in that game on Tuesday the 8th of June. Luis Enrique finds himself in hot water with the current situation after choosing to call up only 24 players for Euro 2020 instead of 26. However,

the unrepentant Spanish coach said he had no regrets and would have selected only 23 players in his presser hours ago. Spain will be without Madrid's captain, Sergio Ramos and teammates Dani Carvajal, Marco Asensio, and Lucas Vazquez. However, Liverpool's Thiago Alcantara and Premier League title winner, Manchester City's Ferran Torres will be available for selection. Barcelona duo; Jordi Alba, and Pedri will also be available. Luis Enrique’s attacking 4—3—3 formation is expected once again on Monday.

Sweden has lost only once in six games across all appearances: LWWWWW and will be coming into this tie without Sweden’s iconic player, AC Milan's Zlatan Ibrahimovic. His return to the team after five years of absence made headlines but he failed to make the cut after a tumultuous season at Milan. However,

Janne Andersson has since replaced the veteran striker with a much younger option and will also have RB Leipzig's Emil Forsberg available for his attacking options. Italian Super Cup winner Dejan Kulusevski of Juventus will also be available. Janne Andersson’s 4—4—2 formation will see the Juventus forward playing alongside Alexander Isak when Sweden makes their first Euro 2020 appearance.

The last time both sides met, both countries played a 1-1 draw. Before that fixture, Spain defeated Sweden, 3-0. An earlier fixture ended in a 2-1 win for Spain in June, 2008.
