Sweden vs Ukraine Live Stream Euro 2020

Sweden vs. Ukraine is scheduled for kick-off at 20:00 (GMT+1) on Tuesday, the 29th of June at Hampden Park.

Sweden picked up a 3-2 win over Poland on the final day of the group stage to cross the line into the last sixteen. RB Leipzig's Emil Forsberg (2') scored the first goal of the game right after kick-off before picking up the brace minutes into the second half (59'). But Robert Lewandoski (61’) replicated the remarkable form which saw him bag a haul of 41 goals last season in the German Bundesliga, - curling a fantastic shot into the top right corner of goal to beat the Swedish goalkeeper.

The prolific forward was back twenty-three minutes later to pick up the brace (84’). However, after clawing their way back from a two-goal deficit, the Swedes dashed their hopes – scoring in extra-time through Viktor Claesson (90'+ET) to leave the Poles with the option of taking the next flight out of Saint Petersburg. Speaking about their recent form, Sweden remains unbeaten having won all games but one in the last six in all international appearances: WWWDWW. An attacking 4—3—3 formation or a 4—4—2 formation is expected from the Swede coach, Janne Andersson on Tuesday when this fixture against Ukraine kicks off.

However, Ukraine sneaked into the last sixteen despite picking up only one victory at the group stage: 1W, 0D & 2L. On Match Day 3, they picked up their second defeat of the tournament, losing to Austria, a side captained by Madrid's David Alaba. The captain picked out the boot of Christoph Baumgartner (21') as the latter tapped home mid-way through the first-half for the game's only goal. Call it what you may, but it's clear Ukraine are lucky to be here. However, coach Andriy Shevchenko would definitely be making the most out of the chance to be in the last-16. A 4—3—3 formation is expected from the legendary ex-Milan player. Ukraine have lost two games in the last six across all international competitions: DWWLWL.

Ukraine defeated Sweden, 2-1 in their last meeting which took place in June 2012. Before that tie, Sweden defeated Ukraine by a lone goal. In February, 2011 both countries played a 1-1 draw.

A 2-1 win for Sweden is predicted at full-time.
