The English boss, Gareth Southgate will line up with his popular 4—2—3—1 formation with captain Harry Kane leading the attack. Southgate believes England can go all the way to the finals and make history.


Meanwhile, Denmark showed Czech Republic the exit door with a 2-1 win over the Czechs last weekend. Borussia Dortmund's Thomas Delaney (5') put the Danes in front five minutes into the game before Kasper Dolberg (42') doubled minutes before the break. However, Czech's Patrik Schick (49') pulled one back for Czechs – his 5th goal of the tournament before the game came to its close. The 2-1 victory leaves the Danes with a form that reads: 

WLLWWW. Yussuf Poulsen came in as a second half substitute against Czech Republic but is expected to be in the starting line-up on Wednesday in Kasper Hjulmand's 3—4—3 formation. He is not expected to take part in active football so soon.


In October 2020, Denmark defeated England by a lone goal. A month earlier, both sides played a goalless draw. In March 2014, England defeated Denmark by a lone goal. Both sides will be looking to pick up the victory and qualify for the final scheduled for Wembley on the 11th of July.


A 1-1 draw and a penalty shoot-out looks likely at the end of extra-time.
