Italy vs Spain Live Streaming

Euro 2020 semifinal, with Italy taking on Spain on Tuesday the 6th of July, 2021, at Wembley Stadium, in London.

Against Turkey, Switzerland and Wales, many claimed that Italy did not really-really get tested in the group stage, as if winning all three games by a total score of 7-0 was nothing to… admire them for. Even their 2-1 extra-time victory over Austria in the round of 16 left many unimpressed, because… “it was just Austria”

(as if Austria were yet another “easy” rival). Against Belgium though, Italy earned for good the right to be taken seriously. Sure, the Belgians missed Eden Hazard and even Kevin De Bruyne played with an important injury problem, but even so, Italy’s 2-1 was a clear and loud message to everyone that they are in this to go all the way, to win it. Bad news for them, obviously, was Leonardo Spinazolla’s serious injury.

Their current form reads; WWWWW. Coach Roberto Mancini played a 4-3-3 formation against Belgium. Nicol√≥ Barella and Lorenzo Insigne scored Italy’s two goals, both in the first half.

Four days after that spec-ta-cu-lar 5-3 over Croatian in extra-time in the round of 16, Italy faced Switzerland in the quarterfinals, the same Switzerland that had beaten world champions France on penalties in the previous round. Despite opening the scoring just 8 minutes into the game, Spain failed to build on that, got equalized in the 68th minute and even after Switzerland were left with 10 men, in the 77th minute, the Iberians left a lot to be desired. That is, until extra-time started; they deserved at least one goal in the extra 30 minutes,

they missed… innumerable awesome chances to score, but the game went to penalties, and there, they did a better job, qualifying for the last 4. Their current form reads; WWWDD. Coach Luis Enrique played a 4-3-3 formation against the Swiss. Spain’s only goal was an own-goal scored by Zakaria.

Italy and Spain have met 37 times in the past, with each side having 11W, while 15 games have ended in a draw. The Italians have scored slightly more, 43-40. On neutral ground, Italy’s advantage is clear, their record is 5W, 6D and just 1L. They have faced each other six times in Euro finals, more recently in France, five years ago, in the round of 16, a game that Italy won 2-0.

A 2-1 victory for Italy is predicted at full-time.
Date: Tuesday, 6th of July, 2021.
Venue: Wembley Stadium
Kick-off time: 21:00 (GMT+2).
