Ukraine vs. England is scheduled for kick-off at 20:00 (GMT+1) on Saturday, the 3rd of July at Stadio Olimpico, Rome, Italy.

Ukraine defeated Sweden, 2-1 to set up this Saturday quarter-final tie against the Three Lions. A goal by Ukraine's Oleksandr Zinchenko (27') put Shevchenko's side forward but an equalizer from the Swede, Emil Forsberg (43') put the game at 1-1 and eventually sent it into extra-time. Late into extra-time, a VAR check saw Sweden's Marcus Danielson pick up a red card after a reckless challenge. Having the numerical advantage,

Ukraine pressed forward and found a goal through Artem Dovbyk (120'+1) - right at the stroke of full-time in extra-time. Andriy Shevchenko's side return behind a form that reads: WWLWLW. On Saturday, he will likely adopt a 3—5—2 formation or an attacking 4—3—3 formation. Shevchenko will be looking to see his side, - the underdogs put up a spirited effort against England when both sides meet. Artem Besedin, who was on the end of the nerve-racking challenge by Marcus Danielson is set to miss this fixture and remain side-lined for as many as six months after picking up a knee injury in that encounter.

England picked up a well-deserved 2-0 win over arch rivals, Germany last Tuesday in the round-of-16. The Three Lions left it late with both goals coming in the last fifteen-minutes of the game. Raheem Sterling (75') scored the late opener before Harry Kane (86') doubled the lead for England with his first goal of Euro 2020. Gareth Southgate might opt for another 4—3—3 formation with an attacking trio of Raheem Sterling,

Jack Grealish – who looks set to start against Ukraine and English captain, Harry Kane against Ukraine. Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Jadon Sancho - who will be playing for Manchester United in the upcoming season, and Phil Foden all continue to see limited playing time. All three could be starting from the bench once again as they have so often done since Match Day 1. The Three Lions return unbeaten in six games across all international competitions: WWWDWW.

In September 2013, both countries played a goalless draw. A year earlier, before that fixture, both countries played a 1-1 draw. On the 19th of June 2012, England defeated Ukraine by a lone goal.

Both sides will be looking to pick up the victory and qualify for the semi-finals but a 2-1 win for England looks likely.
